Scholarship Fund
The Canyon River Instruction Scholarship Fund is intended to give a special someone a chance to take one of our classes here at CRI.
As we all know, river safety and training is incredibly important, but not everyone can afford to do so. This scholarship fund is intended to help those be able to gain experience doing one of the things we love most in this world, BOATING!
Anyone is welcome to apply for a CRI scholarship, but we are particularly fond of granting said scholarships to women in the industry, stepping it up to instructor level courses for professional development.
The scholarship is managed by CRI owners Elisha and Alan, along with Jessica, one of our full time instructors. Funding is provided by your donations here and by the purchase of earrings made by Jessica out of upcycled PVC raft material. We will be adding more such items in the future. You’ll have to take a class to see and purchase Jessica’s stylish earrings in person here at our boathouse!

Submit an essay or short story about boating/why you’d like the scholarship to info@canyonriverinstruction.com and we will choose from there! Happy boating, see you downriver!!
Do you want to give that special someone (or yourself!) the gift of rafting? Plan ahead for the summer and grab a Gift Certificate for $50 to $400 which can be used towards any CRI course. Our classes are small and customized to your river interest with an American Canoe Association certified instructor, so pick your date and we’ll get you on the water.
