This one day intermediate canoe skills workshop will focus on progressing into more challenging moving water and whitewater situations. Students should have a decent familiarity with basic canoe skills as well as have their own whitewater canoe. We will spend the day refining skills for eddy catching, peel outs, ferries, and river running strategy. The section of river to be run will be skills needs and water level dependent.
Please note, this is a intermediate course for someone who is wanting to refine whitewater skills and has their own canoe. Also, there might be time for rolling practice in an eddy, but that is not a major feature of the course.
